POLYCHEM was established in 1970 as a sole proprietorship, under the name of POLYCHEM ENGINEERING, the first company to locally manufacture compounded bottle washing chemicals for the food and beverage industry. In 1974, POLYCHEM INDUSTRIES, INC. became a corporation and began to service the sugar industry. The company was the first to locally produce an alkaline-based cleaning compound specifically formulated for sugar juice evaporators. Other formulation such as mill sanitizers, pan boiling additives, and clarification aid soon followed. It also marked the first time a local company ventured into water treatment by formulating its own boiler water treatment chemicals. Today, POLYCHEM is a widely diversified company with interest ranging from industrial cleaning chemicals, machinery, equipment, industrial supplies, pharmaceutical supplies, agriculture, aquaculture, and forestry.
